The b&b
Yerba Buena is a very relaxing holiday destination, combining the best of a B&B and a private villa.
For a fraction of the cost of a private villa of a similar size, you are free to treat the whole property as your own, for the duration of your stay, and you will be the only group staying here, as I never allow two different groups of guests at the same time.
We encourage you to make full use of the 500m2 property, the 1 acre of beautiful shady gardens, and of course the large pool and terrace area. You have free access to the whole property 24 hours a day, including all of our games, ping pong, table football, scaletrix, basketball, ps2, xbox, internet, and a large array of toys for kids of all ages.
Your stay is usually on a completely self catering arrangement. We used to do breakfasts (and still can for an extra charge if you wish) however, over the years we have found that it is far more relaxing for everyone if you just get up whenever you feel like it and get your own breakfasts, as and when you like. It might sound lazy on my part! but it means the kids can get their own cereals and leave Mum and Dad in bed! The kitchen and BBQ areas are yours to use 24hrs a day.
I live on the property too, with my two boys (12 and 14yrs old). I will make sure that the pool and gardens are maintained throughout your stay, and am here to resolve any maintenance issues that may crop up with the house, so you don’t have the same worries that go with renting your own villa. I can also provide local tourist information and suggestions as to how to make the most of your stay here. We generally stay out of your way as much as possible, but if your children enjoy other children’s company then mine will be happy to help out when they are around.
If you or your children love animals, this is the holiday for you. We have two very friendly small/medium dogs that are allowed in the house, but not the bedrooms. (They sleep inside, so that there is no barking at night)! We also have 2 pet goats and 5 chickens in a mini petting farm style arrangement. (No cockerel!) There is also a large fish pond, where guests have actually caught goldfish using rods!
Please beware that this is not a really great property for toddlers, as the gate into the pool area is easy to get through, and there is a bridge over the pond that is easy to fall off.
We love meeting new people and will do whatever we can to make your stay the best it can possibly be.
