The b&b
In the heart of the Tuscany hills – on the slopes of Monte Serra – a road climbs up toward the imposing chestnut trees that are hundreds of years old and passes through the small medieval village of Buti. This is the road that leads to the “Pietra d’Acqua” Bed and Breakfast.
Luisa and Sauro will be there to welcome you to the historical CASTAGNAIA , originally used to dry and store chestnuts and then transformed into a mountain residence. Located in a quiet and panoramic area, immersed in green nature along the Strada dell’Olio e dei Molini (Olive Oil and Windmill Road) it is situated only 5 minutes (2 km / 1.2 miles) from the historical center of Buti with its Castel Tonini and the seven churches.
The very centralized position of the B&B gives you the opportunity to visit Pisa, Lucca, Firenze, Siena, the Chianti region and the Tyrrhenian coast.
Delicious treasures and intense perfumes emanating from the fragrant underwood – bilberries (blueberries), strawberries, blackberries and mushrooms – will make your stay a very pleasant one. The courtesy and the hospitality of the owners will do the rest.
The B&B: breakfast is served in the Sala del Camino (the Fireplace Room) which is reserved for the exclusive use of the guests or in the garden near the spring water drinking fountain and the cool stream that flows only a few meters from the house. In the garden the guests can use the lawn chairs, sofas and tables. Products without gluten can be provided upon request.
