In a beautiful secluded part of the Haute Vienne, close to the departments of Dordogne and Correze. We are conveniently placed for discovering this unspoilt region.
Laplaud is a small working farm where we rear the famous limousin cattle in a traditional way. Calves can be seen to suckle their mothers in the gently sloping fields. The farm has its own woodland and small river from which the abundant wildlife can be easily observed. The area boasts an abundance of animals and birds. Roe deer are observed almost on a daily basis. Otters and martens are more elusive, red squirrels not quite so. Birds of prey, including kites are spotted with ease along with other birds not seen in the UK. Butterflies, beetles and dragonflies abound in the meadows.
Exchange the noise and bustle of everyday life for the peace and tranquil settings of rural France.
