Information
Castelletto d’Orba is situated in the center of a vast hill region between Gavi Ligure and Ovada at the foot of the Ligurian Appennines. This territory offers various interesting tourist activities: various itineraries to see the Alto Monferrato castles, trekking and cycling tourism, taking baths in the four streams that cross the area, gastronomic tours (various possibilities to visit wine cellars and to taste the excellent local wines, first among them all Gavi and Dolcetto di Ovada).
In the immediate vicinity one can find the natural reserve of the Capanne di Marcarolo Park and at only 3 kilometers (1.6 miles) distance, a golf club. In a half an hour by car on the superhighway (Autostrada) one can reach the seaside resorts along the Italian Riveria. Within the town itself one should not forget the numerous mineral water springs and the beautiful Olympic size swimming pool.
